Originally released on cassette in an edition of 5. Recorded live to tape on September 27th 2011, then edited digitally.

This tape was recorded with the intent of being distributed at the second Ambersmoke show on September 30th 2011. After the release of Cadenscene Greynights and the first public performance in January, I had absolutely zero intentions to continue the project and had left it completely dormant for almost a year before reviving the moniker to hop on an absolutely disastrous bill at a local bar (certainly with the intention of seeing how many people who had come expecting to see a Scorpions cover band could be scared out the door by noisy guitar drones).

All three songs are completely improvised, although The Cartographer has roots in a piece I'd been playing for at least a few months. In addition, an alternate version of The Cartographer recorded in the same session was uncovered while preparing for this reissue and included here. It's much closer to the version played live at the show the tape was made for and the arrangement I'd stick with for most of the following year.

Additionally, a "tape version" is provided here as well. Despite being recorded in stereo, the 4 cassette copies distributed publicly were dubbed in mono on an old duplicator. Not long after the show, a friend send me their transfer of the mono version. This same transfer is included here and was my preferred version until the rediscovery of the original stereo mixes.
