Previously unissued. Recorded January through March 2012.

The Garden of Dead Frogs was intended to be the follow up to In the Shadow of Mt. Diablo's Eternal Gloom but was never completed and shelved indefinitely. The core of the album is comprised of the three songs that made up the semi-fictional Quiet tape teased in January (no copies were ever produced) and filled out with two new compositions, Cat Burial and Wretched Lights. Several of these tracks were issued on other releases later on such as the July 25th, 2015 cassette box set but this digital reissue compiles all the tracks together for the first time.

In addition, there were a number of Ambersmoke live stream shows conducted on a private server for a handful of privately invited listeners during this era. Three unreleased bonus tracks selected from these performances are included here as well as three additional tracks that were considered for the album but ultimately not used.

This version of Cat Burial is my personal favorite, I don't feel like any later rendition captured the same atmosphere as this one.
