Previously unissued, all tracks recorded live March/April 2019 on the last Ambersmoke tour in Pomona, Coeur d'Alene, Bozeman, Akron, and La Puente.

After three shows we had a week of dates cancelled due to a blizzard rolling through that left us stranded in a motel in rural Ohio until we could play the final date in Akron. During this, we wrote the earliest version of Buffalo Alice (later released on the first Grave Saddles album) and debuted it at the Akron date. We made the decision to reboot the band under a new name on the long drive back home from Ohio.

The instrumental version presented here was recorded at the Akron show days after being written (technically making it the "final" Ambersmoke song), the second version is a more fleshed out rendition performed at the last Ambersmoke show on April 26th, 2019.

Hearing these recordings for the first time since playing these shows, I'm pleasantly surprised by these arrangements and the ways we chose to present the songs. I don't want to spoil everything in the liner notes but these are some of my favorite versions of these tracks and there are some major differences between these and the studio takes in some cases.
